Ametz is holding its 16th annual INFERTILITY, ADOPTION, and the FAMILY CONFERENCE, Sunday, April 25, 2010 in New York City.
This year’s conference begins with ADOPTION: A LIFETIME OF CONVERSATIONS with Joni Mantell, Director of the Infertility and Adoption Counseling Center. Adoption conversations are an ongoing journey with many surprises, twists, and turns along the road. It starts when you first think of building your family through adoption and continues throughout the family’s life cycle. The conversation might be explaining to others about your decision to adopt. Later on it’s sharing adoption with your child and those around them (peers, teachers, etc.). Learn why sharing adoption is recommended, while gaining strategies and techniques to use before, during, and after the adoption. Twenty-eight (28) additional workshops cover everything you could want or need to know about adopting domestically or internationally, or living as an adoptive family.
Attorneys and adoption agencies will be on hand to describe adoption options and detail the domestic and international adoption process. 30 additional workshops and all-day exhibit hall. Click here to download the workshop descriptions.
