Meet the staff

Ms. Hahn-Felix is an experienced clinical social worker with over 25 years experience in the field of working with people with disabilities. She has worked in Jewish Communal Services at various JCC s as well as being the Principal of a reform congregation, for 5 years, where she established a resource room and services for children with learning disabilities. She also has worked in the field of addiction and substance abuse for over 17 years. For the last 15 years she has worked for Jewish Child Care Association as Director of the Compass Project, giving direction to Jewish teens with learning disabilities and who are on the Autistic spectrum and PDD, who are facing high school and college transitions. 

Ms. Hahn-Felix works with special programs on several JCC's and college campuses in Long Island, Manhattan, Westchester and Queens. She has been in private practice for the past 17 years, in Huntington, Long Island.

After a brief career in the Restaurant management field and two years working as a recruiter for WorldBridge Partners Executive Search Firm, Evan began his career with the Compass Project in August of 2007. In his starting role as Case Manager, Evan helped to expand the services and programs offered in the Long Island Region. Evan transitioned to working with the program full-time as Mental Health Counselor after receiving his degree form New York University in 2008. With the rapid expansion of the Compass Program over the recent years, in January of 2010 Evan was promoted to Coordinator for the Compass Program in the Long Island and New York City Regions.  Evan also works part time as wilderness guide, and can often be found helping participants in the Compass Program to experience nature on our Club Compass outings.

Evan is available to conduct individual counseling sessions, career testing, workshops and group programs. Additionally, he works with partner colleges in Manhattan and Queens through the Compass Bridges Program.

Jenny A. Frank, a Fordham University graduate,  is a licenced clinical social worker who joined the JCCA Compass Project in January 2009 with her colleague Jennifer Eisman,  to spearhead the opening of JCCA's Compass Project in White Plains, NY.  As part of her training, she worked at New York Presbyterian Hospital followed by  Barnard Early Childhood Center [New Rochelle UFSD] which led her on her career path of working with children with special needs and their parents.  Her specialization began with serving children under Westchester County's Department of Health program serving children birth to five and working privately with an older group of special needs children. In conjunction with her practice, for several years,  she co-published and  co-wrote a newsletter specifically for  parents with special needs children, titled, "Special Parenting Matters of Westchester".   Her ten years experience launched her to this next phase of  working  with young adults in need of support with transitioning from high school and college.   Jenny's role for the JCCA Compass Project includes administering    vocational testing, provide coaching/counseling, presenting workshops on a range of issues around special needs as well as spending significant time reaching out to the community  to build strong community ties in which to serve JCCA  clients well.  Jenny continues to have an active private practice.  She resides in Southern Westchester with her husband David and two children.
